Due to the past success of these events, we are planning to run many of which we plan to run again this year. However, we are constantly changing, innovating and adapting our events to provide the most value to our members.

BoW is dedicated to empowering our members, providing our members with the confidence to succeed in their careers and improve gender diversity in the financial industry.

In the Future of Finance event, we heard from junior and senior professionals from a wide range of finance roles. This not only facilitated an open discussion about gender diversity in the workforce, but also provided members with opportunities to learn from the firsthand experience of industry experts.

The Banking on Women Brunch invited leading female professionals from our sponsors, who acted as role models inspiring current students. It provided members with one-on-one networking opportunities with successful seniors in the industry alongside free catering.

The friendly, inclusive community of BoW encourages all members to chase their dreams and achieve their best, through mentoring and networking opportunities with our sponsors and alumni.

One of the most popular BoW events is the Alumni Networking Evening, which has been held in Semester 2 of each year and looks to be held again this year. Each Alumni Networking Evening, members get the opportunity to talk to BoW alumni who are now successful professionals of their fields.

Another great program BoW runs is the Bold with BoW Mentoring Program, which connects prospective students with BoW committee, alumni and sponsors. Mentors are able to provide personal guidance and connect with mentees, supporting them on their journey of growth.

BoW provides many educational focused events that supports the professional and personal development of students of all year levels at all stages of their career.

Events such as Discovering Your Pathway provides insights about the differences between various career pathways in finance, and provides tips for students applying for work experience for the first time, hence helping them navigate their early career.

For students applying for internships and graduate positions, BoW also holds workshops, such as How To Succeed in Interviews. Students can hear from recruiters about how to stand out in their written application, as well as behavioural and tehcnical interviews.
